In the Spring of 2008 distrcit2news.com launched as an online blog focusing on local events in District 2 of the Halifax Regional Municipality.

Written primarily by Joanne Jordan(1) of Fall River (former reporter for The Laker) district2news.com also features columns written by Dr. Stephanie Gray of Fall River Chiropractic and Gord Pye of The Investors Group.

(1) Joanne Jordan was born and raised in Fall River and has deep roots in the community. She has seen the many changes that have evolved in the area and has a vast knowledge of the surrounding areas.
