Obituary – CARR, Ronald Owen

74, Fall River, passed away peacefully at home on September 14, 2009. He was predeceased by his loving wife, L. Karolyn. He leaves behind to mourn, his children, Rondalyn and Scott MacNutt with their children, David (Jill) and Pam; Kurt and Lynn (Gardner) Carr with their children, Aleasha, Rebecca and Calvin; Shiralee and Chris Bray and their children, Mirinda and Freeman, all of Fall River. Ron also leaves behind his siblings, Warren and Elke Carr, Andrew, Alta.; Nancy and Gordon Organ, Dartmouth and Bernie and Gloria Carr, Middle Sackville, as well as sisters-in-law, Glenda Baker (Art MacDonald) and Marie McCulloch (Owen Davis). He will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Ron retired after 36 years at the Naval Dockyard Halifax. He was an honorary life member of the LWF Fire Department. In retirement Ron enjoyed exploring the back roads of Nova Scotia, happy hour with friends and family, country music, and a friendly game of cribbage. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 16 from 7 – 9 p.m. in Atlantic Funeral Homes in Lower Sackville. Funeral service will be held Friday, September 18 at 11 a.m. in St. John’s United Church, Fall River with a reception to follow. Family burial will take place in the Fall River Cemetery.
