Obituary – SYMINGTON, Robert “Frank”
69, Lower Sackville, passed away October 2, 2009, in the QEII Health Sciences Centre, Halifax. Born in Halifax, he was a son of the late Robert and Anne (Lohnes) Symington. He was employed for 20 years with HMCS Dockyard. He was a long-time member of St. John Vianney and St.
Elizabeth Seton Roman Catholic Churches, where he was involved in his church community. He enjoyed fishing, hockey and baseball, and was a coach for minor league baseball. He is survived by daughters, Kathy Symington, Mount Uniacke; Isabel (Brian Eisan), Fall River; sons, Frank, St. Albert, Alta.; Jamie, Los
Angeles, Calif.; Tim, Edmonton, Alta.; brothers, Edmund (Penny), Calgary, Alta.; Donnie (Bernice), Winnipeg; grandchildren, Stephen, Jessica, Gray, Justis, Braxten and Kasey-Anne. He was predeceased by brother, David. Visitation 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Sunday, Atlantic Funeral Home, 125 Sackville Dr., Lower Sackville. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Monday at 10 a.m., in St. John Vianney Roman Catholic Church. Burial in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Reception will beheld in the church hall. Donations to the burn unit in the VG Site, QEII would be appreciated.
