Obituary – TILLMAN, Elizabeth Jane “Betty”

64, Fall River, passed away November 13, 2009, in the Halifax Infirmary, QEII. Born in Halifax, she was the only child of the late Kenneth and Vera (Eisenhauer) Thomson. She was retired from Transport Canada at Halifax International Airport, after transferring from Bedford Institute of Oceanography, where she had been employed for 15 years. She was very active with the Red Hat Society, Waverley Riders Association and other charitable groups over the years. She is survived by her husband of 10 years, Graham Merry; daughter, Suzanne Elizabeth; son, Kenneth George, his fiancé Corie McCully, as well as their children Anthony Owen and Oliver George. She was also predeceased by husband, George Robert Tillman. Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 15, in T.K Barnard Funeral home located at 1216 Bedford Hwy. from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., with funeral services Monday, November 16, 11 a.m. in First Baptist Church Hammonds Plains, located 1839 Hammonds Plains Rd., followed by the burial at in the church cemetery, with reception to follow at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Baptist Church Hammonds Plains Cemetery fund or charity of your choice.
