Local Lions and Scouts – Working Together

Fall River (D2N) – The Fall River – Riverlake Lions held their annual fall Road Toll at the Fall River Sobeys parking lot recently.
The Lions and members of the local Scouts joined together in a fund raiser to assist both organizations. They also had a barbecue, and hungry shoppers could purchase a hot dog or a drink, while giving to a worthy cause. The local Lions club is often drawn upon to assist needy families in their area; the group has helped with emergency heating during the winter months and with food at other times. They are the official organizers of the Christmas Food Drive in the community as well.
