Local bike jump parks being revamped to meet Halifax Regional Municipality standards
Fall River, Nova Scotia (D2N) – Two Bike Jump Parks in the area are being completely redone. “The Jump Park on Church Street in Wellington, as well as the Jump Park located on the Fall River Road, are being levelled off and rebuilt due to the fact that they do not reach HRM standards,” said Councillor Barry Dalrymple.
Recent activity at the parks has peaked the interest of local children, who have been trying to find information about the Bike Jump Parks in question. “The Parks are not being removed,” said Dalrymple, “I can assure the kids that the Jump Parks will remain, and are just being rebuilt.”
Update – the Bike Park on Church Street in Wellington was completely re-done 2 weeks ago and is in excellant condition with new features added.
The one in Fall River was postponed from 2 weeks ago to begin today but week-end rains have probably pushed that back by a few days.

Thanks for the update Barry!
Now how about taking 13 cement trucks and fill in that drug infestation pit at the Rec Centre?
Maybe then families could use the centre without being sworn at as they walk by.
Just a thought since no parents care to knwo where their kids are at and what they are doing.
My son has just started showing an interest in the skate park, and we have gone on a number of occasions. I find it extremely disappointing that the whole experience is ruined by the actions of a handful of unsupervised kids. Perhaps a membership fee should be charged to pay for security, so that those being inappropriate can be turfed out. It doesn’t seem right that their behavior bullies everyone else out.
